The course covers:<br />  </p> <p> a general introduction to the electric vehicle industry</p> <p> an overview of the type of EVs available</p> <p> an insight into government legislation and incentives</p> <p> BS7671 supply, installation and protection requirements</p> <p> the IET code of practice</p> <p> <br /> There will also be a workshop covering the full range of Rolec EV’s charging equipment followed by an exam. Successful candidates will have a fundamental knowledge of the supply, installation and protection requirements necessary for the installation of electric vehicle charging points.<br />  <br /> They will also have the opportunity to go onto a centralised register which will be distributed throughout the EV industry enabling them to contact a contractor who has completed the course.<br />  <br /> Although this course is primarily aimed at the electrician, the course can be undertaken by administrative and sales staff looking for a basic knowledge of the EV industry.<br />  <br /> Mike Jackson, Head of Sales at NICEIC commented, “With more than 20 years experience manufacturing electrical equipment for the outdoor market, Rolec EV is the perfect partner for this course.”<br />  <br /> The training course runs from December 2012.
