The fringe events will be hosted by the Electrical Safety Roundtable and will see representatives from LABC, the Chief Fire Officers Association and IET in attendance as well as MPs, including the Shadow Communities and Local Government Minister.<br /> Tuesday 24th September, 12.30-2pm, will be hosted at the Tudor Room, Old Ship Hotel, Brighton, Kings Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1NR for Labour and Monday 30th September, 12.30-2pm. Wyvern Bar, Midland Hotel, Peter Street, Manchester, M60 2DS for Conservative.<br /> The meetings will highlight the key issues affecting electrical safety in the home, including; changes to Part P of the Building Regulations, the importance of individual electrical competence, and the possibility of improving Building Control enforcement.<br /> NAPIT’s attendance at these party political conferences is intended to increase the political profile of electrical safety in the home and promote the importance of using competent, registered electricians – ensuring politicians recognise the significance of effective regulation for consumers and tradespeople alike.<br /> Commenting on NAPIT’s attendance at this year’s party political conferences, Chief Operating Officer, Martin Bruno, said: “We are looking forward to meeting with MPs and influential stakeholders at this year’s party political conferences.
