Vent-Axia, a leader in low carbon ventilation, has launched its second online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) module entitled ‘Domestic Indoor Air Quality and Ventilation’. Aimed at the social housing sector the new free online module explains the importance of good indoor air quality especially when introducing energy efficiency measures in existing homes.
Accredited by the Construction CPD Certification Service the new CPD adds to Vent-Axia’s existing training portfolio, and will allow construction professionals the flexibility to complete a valuable module at a time to suit them, fitting in with busy work schedules.
“With the Government implementing a raft of initiatives to reduce housing carbon emissions, including the forthcoming Green Deal, it is more important than ever before to ensure a dwelling has good indoor air quality. As homes become increasingly air tight condensation becomes an issue if a building is not ventilated adequately, resulting in health and comfort issues as well as damaging the fabric of the building. With social housing paving the way in carbon reductions it is crucial housing professionals are aware of these issues. Our online CPD allows them the flexibility to gain vital knowledge at a time that suits them.” explains Peter Smith, Specialist Sales and Training Manager at Vent-Axia.
To access the new online CPD module interested applicants should visit Vent-Axia’s website http://www.vent-axia.com/tools-services/cpd select the relevant module and register their names to gain access to a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation. Once applicants have read and thoroughly reviewed the presentation there is an online questionnaire on the topic to complete the CPD. Applicants will receive an email within five working days of completion confirming whether they have passed the CPD. Successful applicants will receive a CPD certificate via email.
‘Domestic Indoor Air Quality and Ventilation’ is the second of Vent-Axia’s online CPD modules, applicants can already access the CPD ‘Part F and Part L of the Building Regulations 2010’ via the company’s website.
