NAPIT have recently been shortlisted for Marketing Campaign of the Year at the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards 2012. This eagerly anticipated annual ceremony will play host to over 300 guests from UK trade associations, showcasing some of the best work of TAF members at the Plaisterer's Hall, London on the 28 June.
The campaign, run on a quarterly basis in local newspapers across the country, uses a targeted ‘promotion by postcode’ approach which helps consumers find NAPIT Registered Installers in their area. It features regular editorial, covering; electrical safety, the benefits of renewable energy technologies, the importance of using a Registered Installer, and most importantly, the contact details of all the NAPIT Registered Installers in the local area. A competition was also included to win a luxurious spa getaway.
This innovative new campaign has certainly proved successful, receiving praise from newspapers and businesses alike. After being made aware of the opportunity to participate, Jo Collinson of Brighton Solar commented:

With local newspaper circulations of up to 80,000 copies and a readership of up to 250,000 people, the publicity value of this campaign has been estimated at £180,000.
