The UK-wide tour of Megger’s hugely successful PAT testing roadshow, which provided a clear and concise explanation of the differences between Versions 3 and 4 of the IET Code of Practice (CoP3 and CoP4), has finally come to an end. Those who weren’t able to attend this popular roadshow have not missed out entirely, as the comprehensive and informative 24-page booklet developed to accompany the presentation is now available as a free download from the Megger website (megger.com).
The roadshow toured 157 locations taking in every part of the UK from Kirkcaldy to St Helier and Norwich to Aberystwyth, and it was seen by well over 2,000 visitors. In every location, the presentation was made at an electrical wholesaler’s premises, which was something that those attending appreciated as these venues were invariably convenient and easy to find.
“We’ve had an enormously positive response to our PAT testing roadshow,” said Simon Wood, UK Wholesale and Distribution Sales Manager at Megger. “The people who came along said in particular that they were pleased that we’d made the effort to distil the differences between CoP3 and CoP4 into a short 45-minute presentation while still covering all of the key points, and also that we’d taken the trouble to ensure the presentations were always scheduled for convenient times.”
“In a way, we’re sorry to bring the roadshows to an end, but we believe that by now we’ve given most of those interested an opportunity to attend a presentation, and that the time has now come for us to focus our efforts elsewhere. We’ll be offering free seminars and practical information on earth fault loop impedance and earth stake testing starting in September, again at convenient local venues. So watch this space for more details!”
