Kent Electrics, Gold Winner of the Online Electrician of the Year Awards 2012 is presented with his Megger prize.
A great start to the week for James at Kent Electrics as he is presented with his Gold prize – a Megger MFT1730.
James was the Gold Winner of the On Line Electrician of the Year Awards which saw a closely fought competition between electricians for the coveted prize packages on offer. The decision to award James the Gold award was synonymous amongst the sponsors who all agreed that the attention to detail, and the high quality of on line work produced by James was of benefit to a wide audience and showed a wide variety of techniques used to engage them.
James was presented with his award by Kerry Burdett, South East Technical Sales Manager for Megger along with the host of the awards Gary Pratten. James wins a Megger MFT1730 a complete test and certification kit.
Gary Pratten said 'It is always pleasure to host these awards which are now entering their third year. The awards are unique in that they truly represent the hard work that goes into on line marketing and promotion”
For James, winning this award was not just about the recognition of his hard work, but proof that his business is now entering into a new dimension where opportunities exist beyond his immediate area.
James was delighted to win the Gold Prize saying 'you have to move with the times and on line activity is where its at. Traditional methods of consuming information is dying a death. Being on line is the new way of getting work. I'm not going to pretend its easy but certainly this is where the future is at'.
Megger have sponsored the On line Electrician of the Year Awards for the second year in a row and fully recognise and support the need for electricians to promote themselves and their services on line. Kerry says “Its not enough for companies to remain anonymous. Engaging and talking to the customer is paramount. Its where brand awareness is generated on a personal level and where the basis for meeting customers – and indeed reminding existing customers we're still here – is made”
So what’s next for James? Naturally excited to have finally got his hands on his Megger MFT1730, he is looking forward to putting into practice more marketing plans to help other electricians who are struggling to find work (in between his own manic schedule as an electrician himself.)
He has also set his sights on winning the Online Electrician of the Year Awards again......and again.
