All UK electricians are eligible to enter whatever capacity they work in whether an apprentice, professional electrician or work in house for an electrical contracting business.
The object is to find the electrician or electrical contracting companies for the best use of on-line services and social media. Winners will be chosen based on a number of points which include their creativity, quality and frequency of updates of their online activities, the number of platforms they use to carry out their online activities and how effective their online message is.
Entries will be open until the 31st October 2013 and a short list will be drawn up by the promoter of the on line electrician of the year awards Gary Pratten. Gary says “I would encourage all electricians to get involved this year – its going to be bigger and better than ever. If you've entered before, it would be great to hear from you again, if you haven't entered, make this year is the year you do it” Promotion on line is growing phenomenally year on year and this is recognised by creating the awards in the first place and by the high profile companies who support the Awards year on year.
The winners of the awards are decided by the sponsors who will receive the short list and will look at what types and methods electricians use to promote themselves on line using well known outlets such as social media or trying out new angle such as video marketing – which is what last years winner James Dewane from Kent Electrics has been exploring.
There will be 3 winners of the on line electrician of the year awards. Each winner will be awarded either the Gold, Silver or Bronze award. The sponsors will be sponsoring each award with an exciting prize package on offer which will be confirmed once the awards open.
