Internationally-renowned tool manufacturer Facom has redesigned its range of hex and torx key sleeves. The new range is now conveniently colour-coded red for hex keys and black for torx keys. The new more compact sleeve has a hinged top and conveniently placed hole for hanging.
The new sleeve design means that mechanics and engineers can quickly and easily identify the various keys and choose the right size immediately. Each key is held into the sleeve with a secure fastening which allows easy removal of a single key without any of the other keys moving or sliding out of place. It also means the risk of dropping a key or having one slip out of the sleeve is a thing of the past.
The sleeve is constructed from a tough plastic which offers improved strength and durability thanks to its wear- and chemical-resistance.
Ali Howard, UK marketing manager for Facom, says: “Every single aspect of the newly redesigned hex and torx key sleeve has been thoroughly thought-out with a busy workshop in mind. We have even moved the hole so that hanging and storage is more user-friendly. We know these will be invaluable for the removal of fastenings and screws in any busy workshop.”
The new design roll-out will be completed before the end of 2012.
