The EEIBA is delighted to announce that the RWE Npower Benevolent Society (RNBS) will transfer its administration functions to the EEIBA (Electrical & Electronics Industries Benevolent Association) from the 1st April 2012.
The EEIBA has worked closely with the RNBS for many years, managing the RWE Npower lottery and administering welfare grants given to all RWE Npower employees past and present, and their dependents. This move further strengthens the collaboration between the two charities, with RNBS continuing to play a major part in all decision making relating to its members, without the associated administrative duties.
The RWE Npower lottery has been in existence since 2004 and gives away numerous monetary prizes each month, totaling £7,500. The draw is open to all RWE Npower employees and pensioners, and provides a fun way for employees to contribute to charity, whilst having the chance of winning one of the many prize draws held each month.
The EEIBA ensures that all age groups, from the youngest child to the oldest pensioner connected with RWE Npower, gets the assistance they need during times of hardship. Support can be provided in a number of ways:
Helping to source benefits or allowances
Assisting individuals and families to overcome the impact of living on low incomes or savings
Providing equipment, facilities and financial assistance to support those living with a disability.
Jim McArthur, EEIBA President said “EEIBA and RNBS have worked very successfully together over many years, the EEIBA is delighted that this move signals that we are strengthening our ties even more.”
