As we approach Electrical Fire Safety Week, which runs from the 22nd to the 28th September, consumers are reminded of the integral safety role fire alarms play and of the importance of having them installed correctly by a qualified and competent electrician.
Those who are considering adding the design, installation and inspection of fire alarm systems to their portfolio can gain a better understanding of what this entails via a recently released video from NAPIT Training.
Great Britain’s latest official fire statistics, 2012-2013, show that fires in dwellings where an alarm was absent or not operating were responsible for more than half of home fire deaths and over forty per cent of non-fatal casualties. Statistics such as these highlight the importance of training with a reputable provider which ensures compliance with the relevant standards.
NAPIT Training’s fire alarms taster video provides an overview of the design, installation and inspection process. Installers will learn to identify the risks associated with certain buildings and develop an understanding which system may be required.
The training video was filmed at the NAPIT EXPO 2014 where visitors could attend a selection of free NAPIT Training taster sessions – a new addition to the tradeshow this year. Feedback from these sessions has been positive and one attendee said “Excellent content and delivery. The speakers were very knowledgeable”.
