Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton has announced it will be offering electrical contractors and installers the chance to find out how its latest power management solutions can directly benefit them at The Electric Event next month. Visitors to the annual ECA-organised event, which takes place at the ICC in Birmingham from the 20th- 22nd June, will be able to attend Eaton’s technical workshops in the ‘Technology Live’ zone on topics such as building automation and energy management, as well as see the latest products on Eaton’s stand in the associated exhibition.
The Technology Live Workshops take place on Friday 21st June. Eaton’s first presentation focuses on energy solutions and is presented by Dave Hanie, Global Power Management Account Manager, at 10:40am and 2:40pm. The workshop entitled, Proactive management and business intelligence to keep your critical power, environmental, and security safety online and available, will take a look at solutions for simplifying the process of infrastructure and energy management. Dave will explore how important automatic notifications about threats to an operation could be and present details of Eaton’s new Foreseer Services which monitor and manage all critical facilities to help companies reduce energy consumption and unplanned downtime.
At 11:20am and 3:20pm, David Pitt, Product Marketing Manager, focuses on the control and distribution of electrical power. The workshop, entitled, New developments in electrical power measurement, distribution and control, will review the latest intelligent control panel and metering wiring solutions. The focus of the workshop will be on the use of digital electronic technology to provide enhancements to residual current devices as well as highlighting the developments in the communication capabilities of power circuit breakers such as localised and remote displays of power consumption, trip history recording and contact wear indication. In support of this workshop, Eaton will be showcasing its xEffect series of digital circuit breakers for use in residential and commercial buildings on its stand.
Eaton’s final workshop at 12noon and 4:00pm, Innovations in modular wiring accessories and wireless building automation, will be presented by Phil Williams, Product Marketing Manager. This workshop will look at the features and benefits for electrical contractors and installers of Eaton’s latest generation of modular grid-based wiring accessories, PREMERA MIX, and the incorporation of modular RF building controls. Details of how Eaton’s xComfort RF home automation controls can provide a simple solution to energy efficiency as well as safety and security will also be presented alongside details about their new Smart Home Controller environment and web/mobile apps.
As well as information about the products presented in the technical workshops, visitors to Eaton’s stand will be able to find out about other innovations including: SmartWire-DT technology - a versatile communications system that offers a simple solution to complex panel and machine wiring by providing a single multi-functioning cable - and Breaker Visu 3.0 – a system that enables the visualisation and automatic logging of energy distribution and consumption. Also on display will be Eaton’s Luminaire Supporting Coupler (LSC) plug-in lighting system and its Memera range of consumer units with optional KWh metering. The stand will also provide an opportunity for electrical contractors and installers to talk to Eaton professionals in more detail about their specific needs and applications.
