As this is the last week before Christmas it feels seasonably correct to post a blog about Christmas lights. In the past we have posted many articles on promoting the safe use of Christmas lights. Last year the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) published an article on their top 10 Christmas Lighting Safety Tips.
I have come across an hilarious blog post from Trade Skills 4 U today who have put together some of the craziest Christmas light displays from around the world. The first on the list is the current world record holder for the largest outdoor Christmas lights display which consists of nearly 17 miles of lights and 15000 cable ties. The record holder for this is David Richards of Canberra, Australia.
The blog then moves on to showcase displays from around the UK. One being an Electrician in Wiltshire who takes a month off the tools each year to concentrate on his homes Christmas lighting display.
The blog then ends with an amazing and quite hilarious video showing a Christmas lighting display flash in perfect timing to the hit song Gangham Style. You should really check it out!
